Southern Railway holds first session of ‘Satyanishtha’ programme



Shri R.K.Kulshrestha, General Manager, Southern Railway launched the first session of  ‘Satyanishtha’ mission organised by the Vigilance Department of Southern Railway  today (16th August, 2018) in Chennai.    Shri. J. Vinayan, Chief Commercial Manager, Passenger Marketing delivered a lecture o­n ‘Public Integrity for Individuals and Organisations’. 

The prime objective behind launching Mission Satyanishtha is to sensitise Railway officers and supervisors about the need to adhere to ethics and morality and also to maintain high standards of probity in public life.  The service rendered by the employees of Indian Railways touches the lives of the common man. The mission is aimed at enlightening Railway employees about  ‘Satyanishtha’ that encompasses three essential qualities viz., honesty, integrity and veracity, the qualities which are indispensable for a public servant to render altruistic service to the organisation and public.

Project Sathyanishtha was launched by  Shri Aswani Lohani, Chairman, Railway Board o­n 27th July, 2018 in New Delhi and the project is aimed at  improving the work culture of the organization through effective governance .

 During the session, Shri R.K.Kulshrestha, General Manager, Southern Railway released the book “Ethics and Corruption – An Introduction”.  by Shri. J. Vinayan, Chief Commercial Manager, Passenger Marketing.  Shri.P.K.Mishra, Additional General Manager, Shri J.P.Pandey, Chief Vigilance Officer & Senior Dy.General Manager, Principal Heads of Departments and other officers and staff participated in the session.
